KYE!

I can NOT believe that I have forgotten to post about my new nephew! He was born last month and he is AMAZING. I was so fortunate to be able to fly to Utah (alone, by myself, no kids) for a weekend to me my sister Angie's newest child. I love him sooooo much. I loved just holding him for 3 days and smelling his yummy baby smell.
Not only did I get to meet and enjoy the newest Barlow grandchild, but I got to throw my niece, Sunnie, her 12th birthday party. It was a New Moon themed-more importantly a Jacob themed party. I had so much fun coming us with the decorations for it. Easy black, white, and red of course. Posters of Jacob, and banner made of pages of the book cover in hearts that spelled Team Jacob, and lots of balloons and streamers did the trick.

Each girl got a fun goodie bad filled with Twilight lotion, Team Jacob pins, awesome nail polish, and candy (of course).
Team Jacob tattoos and Sunnie's fav treat Muddy Buddies ie Werewolf Kibble!
No cake, paw print cups cakes (ok if you are the only one in the world who did not see the movie or the book Jacob is a werewolf, and Rosalie a vampire (werewolves and vampires hate each other) calls him a mutt. Which is the reason for the dog stuff.
I also got to help my 18 year old nephew answer a girl for a girl's choice dance. (It was right before St. Patty's Day)

Shamrock said, "Yes, I'm so luck to go with you." Cute :)
In the car with JJ getting yelled out on when to slow the car down when I need to speed up after he dropped the pot, and to stop looking at the house. Teenagers suck sometimes:)
And lastly Sunday morning I got powdered donuts for bfast. So cute, I looked over at my niece and she was downing them. In the process covered her mouth in the powdered sugar. Made me laugh so hard!
It was such a fun-but short trip. I was just so grateful to spend time with the Martinez's. And they love me too (they even told me).

Greyness!

Just some random pics of Grey I found on my phone. He is so stinking cute-dang:)

Erin and Grey on our way to Freebirds. What is so cute is that yes they both have sunglasses but Erin has the boys and Grey's are pink girl ones. And he would NOT trade.
Decorating Easter cookies at Whole Foods.
Grey even made one for sissy. (Lucy's is the pink not already all licked cookie). Oh and see the jelly beans and gummy bunny? Well I wasn't watching closely at first but realized he was taking them from the communal bowl, putting them in his mouth, and if they weren't good putting them back in the same communal bowl. Man if I were the other moms I would have been so mad!
On our way to the bike shop. Grey HAD to not only bring but wear it in the car and in the shop. Which reminds me of a funny story of a unnamed mom who tried a jersey at a bike shop on top of her t-shirt. She was trying to hurry and didn't want to go into a fitting room with a 2 year old boy. Took the jersey off and eventually noticed that she had taken her t-shirt off along with it. Yep that unknown mother had been standing in the middle of a busy bike shop in her bra and garment top for who knows really how long. In fact it was the same day this pic of Grey going to a bike shop with me was taken. That poor poor mom whoever she is.
At Lucy's school before the Easter Egg hunt. I had brought cupcakes for her to pass out to her class and Grey needed to try one. Unfortunately for Grey and me he threw up the cupcake and then some driving home from school. So gross.
Day at the park with Landon Ayres, Clayton Larman, Grey, and Zack Ayres. The funny thing was is right before I took the pic they were seriously betting the crap out of each other. But here they all look so cute and sweet. So not the case:)

*Oh and as a side note: I am up to $230 for my MS race. Just need $70 more. Come on guys just $5 can make a difference in this old lady's life. Did I mention I am turning 31 a week from Monday??? Where did my youth go?

A Little More Easter

Last night (Monday) I finally checked the mail and found a package for me!!! At our house we LOVE packages (hint hint). It was from one of my oldest friends Carrie. And guess what it was?! My very own Randall style Easter basket:)!!!! Ok here's the story. We grew up living across the street from each other. Every Easter I would PRAY that she would call me to play after church because they had (in my opinion) the BESTEST Easter baskets filled with the coolest candies. I love my mom but fancy divinity eggs with our names piped on and beautiful speckled jelly beans were not what I thought, as an 8 year old, awesome. I thought it was pretty but I wanted the good stuff ie Reese's peanut butter cups. I told Carrie about this a year ago. She and Jolaine (her mama) laughed so hard. They had no idea I envied their Easter baskets-Carrie's bro actually thought they got lame baskets. How wrong he was. Anyways Carrie remembered and sent me a basket this year with a wonderful note that made me cry:) Thank you Carrie-I love the candy but it really is the thought that counts.

Easter 2010

This year I started my Easter weekend with a 30 mile bike ride around Dallas. I was fun, fast, and a beautiful morning. I did it with my friend Ruth and had a great time. I am actually preparing for the MS150 in a month! Its 150 miles in 2 days and Im really excited about reaching this goal. This kids and Adam went to the Ward Egg Hunt which I missed because of work. Easter Morning was great. The kids loved their baskets and the eggs hidden around the house. Lucy's were filled with money and Grey's were filled with mini Car cars. Then off to the Larman's for bfast and egg hunt. And later to Dr Ryan and Julie's house for a yummy dinner. We had such a wonderful day. Oh and Mom and Dad had a surprise at the end of the day. Roller skates for Lu and scooter for Grey Grey.

Two Hot Mamas

So my friend Kristin and I had this AWESOME idea to take our 4 kids camping with no dads. And if I do say so myself we rock! It was so much fun. It was Spring Break and decided 2 days 2 nights in the wilds of Texas was defiantly the best way to spend it. We went to Eisenhower State Park. Set up camp, cooked, hiked, threw rocks, and made a few necessary trips to a nearby Walmart and Sonic (cause I needed a Coke y'all).
Kristin making the BEST pancake bfast (according to Lucy).
John, Lucy, and Grey with their hiking sticks (love how they all posed).
Little Erin and Kristin
Rock throwin
Lucy and John
All 6 of us-seriously how cool of moms are we!!!
The one and only picture I was able to get of all 4 kids together.
Look!
Not sure what they were doing.
Kristin brought an awesome surprise for me, but I actually never got to sit in the hammock:)

S'mores!
Mmmmmm-it was St Patrick's day thus the green polish. Oh and we did have a visit from a Leprechaun. He knew who's camping chairs was who's and put cool little toys in them for the kids.
The best moment for me of the whole trip. Cuddling with Grey in front of the campfire.
So cute the first night Grey could NOT believe that I was going to make him sleep in the tent. He kept saying, "Go home, Grey got home to Grey's house." Second night he was a pro! This was (I am so ashamed to say) was his first camping trip. By two Lucy had spent more time hiking and camping than most adults. Sorry Grey but I'm you liked it and your cool new orange sleeping bag.

AAHHHHHHH

I don't know if anyone is still reading this but I will get back into it. I lost the cord to my camera so downloading pics just hasn't been happening. Yes I could buy a new one, yes I go to Target frequently but no I NEVER remember to buy one. But one GREAT bit of news is that I was accepted to the University of Utah for Fall 2010. Yep that's right I will finally become a Running Ute and can hardly wait to wear my red proudly. Don't ask when I will be done-haven't talked to the transfer people yet. But yeah! I'm really doing it. So far I have gotten some great advice from my friend Kelly. 1. Don't take a rolling backpack to school 2. Don't take a doughnut cushion to sit on no matter how hard the chairs are 3. Don't wear a blazer with pads on the elbows or the other students will think I am the professor. Kind of sucks to be the old mom lady of the class (you have to admit we all hated them in our classes). But it rocks to be doing what I have always felt so strongly about finishing.<span class=
