Twilight Review

Okay so its time for me to admit two things. First I saw Twilight. It took awhile. I waited to see it in the theaters with my friend Kelly but when we FINALLY went to see it it turned out it was playing at 11:15pm NOT am. (so we went with our yummy food but were turned away because it wasn't playing for another 12 hours) So then Kelly rented it when it came out we planned on a movie day last Monday-but I had a Dr appt I had forgotten about so had to leave early. So finally later in the week and I watched it. And the verdict? I really liked it. Okay initially I found it cheesy when I was watching the beginning with Amber and Kelly. But when I got to sit and watch it by myself while Grey was napping I enjoyed it. I mean I really liked it. Which is odd because I am not a fan of any of the books (and I have read them all). So I guess if you go in expecting the worst you can not and this time I was not disappointed:) Please do not judge me...

Family Portrait

In a previous post I shared a link to our photographer who took our pics at the Bountiful Temple when Greyson Ross was sealed to us. Well I didn't really like ANY of the four of us all together so after a month I was inspired to do this collage. I LOVE how it turned out!

Spring Break 2009 HooRah

This past week was Lucy and Adam's Spring Breaks. Adam spent mon-wed biking of course and then was back at Children's Hospital for more dentistry. Since we didn't go any where I decided to make it memorable without leaving Dallas. After all it is Lucy's first. So Monday was Build-A-Bear (well actually Build-A-Hello Kitty), eating lunch at the mall, and the park with friends. Tuesday was the Arboretum with friends and yummy Mexican lunch-not to mention St. Patty's Day. Unfortunately that darn Leprechaun got us again. He decorated Lucy's room and hid chocolate gold coins all over the apartment. Wednesday was picnic at the park and kite flying. Thursday was the Zoo (unfortunately 3 straight days of migraines canceled my trip but awesome friend Christina was willing to take Lucy for me), McDonald's (very rare at our house), and Lucy's very 1st sleepover at Sara's house. Friday Christina proved to be super mom again and took the kids including mine to Chuck E Cheese and the Galleria Mall to play at the playground. Saturday was shopping for cute new outfit and the park again with lots of fun friends. It was a great week sleeping in until 8 and letting the kids stay up late (as in 8:30 for Grey and 9 for Lu). I am actually very sad that Lucy will be going back to school on Monday.

Remember it was St Patrick's Day which is why we are all in green-not because we like to match when we go out in public.

Ad's Birthday-a little late

Okay so it was January 30th and I never posted a happy birthday to you. But I did get him a new bike with my very own money which he was totally surprised. We also went out to dinner to Cafe Madrid (he was in heaven) with NO kids. So it really was a good bday I just forgot to post it. Happy 34th Birthday Adam!

School Lunch

Yesterday I did something I hoped I would never have to do again-eat lunch in a elementary cafeteria. And no I didn't actually eat school food-couldn't do it. So I told Lucy to choose what she wanted me to bring. Unfortunately she chose Taco Bell which I feel is marginally better than school food-only because I can at least get a Pepsi. Just the smell as soon as I walked in made me a little queasy. And to watch how and what the kids had to eat made my stomach churn. I told Lucy I would always make her lunch so she never had to eat that food-EVER. But I was reminded later by Adam how much Lucy likes school lunch. She had told me that I don't know how to make yummy food like school lunch just a few weeks ago. Ughhhhh-I give up!
