Lucy's Bday Party

We, Lucy and I, had decided this year to do her friend party at ASI Gymnastics (it was so great I would recommend it). Grey had a huge bounce house in the backyard so Lucy had to top it of course! Which turned out so great because I had Gall Bladder surgery that week (which by the way SUCKED I am just now getting back on the bike). Lucy had some friends from Dealey and Alex Sanger (her old school) and of course all of our close buddies from church. We all (well not me I was still in so much pain I just have vague recollections) had so so much fun. It was great because Lucy along with some of her friends have little bros and sis'es so everyone was able to play and have so much fun!

Yep I made this through all the pain and suffering post op (now you all get to hear me whine like my friends here in Dallas). Lucy doesn't like fondant so I used regular frosting. I was happy-I didn't have a special pan just a knife.


Lucy's fav present: a cell phone from Mom and Dad. Now I don't want any mean comments please. She rides the bus, her school is 30 mins away, I am a nervous mom who wants to her daughter to be able to call if she's in trouble or misses the bus. I know I know what you are all thinking-you really don't have to say it.

Lucy's 7th Birthday!

For Lucy's 7th Birthday we had a HUGE surprised planned. When she got off the bus on Thursday afternoon (the day before her bday) Nanny was there! She had flown in just for Lucy's bday weekend.

Okay the main reason Nanny came-AMERICAN GIRL store. Last year she got her Bitty Baby, but this year Nanny got Lucy her big doll. Lucy chose Rebecca which is the newest doll. I LOVE the clothes that Rebecca has so I was super happy too:)

Catch Up Part 3: Trunk-or-Treat (I promise this is the LAST catch-up)

Awesome cupcakes we-I mean Adam made for the cupcake walk. I had planned on making them until I put my beautiful nails on. I put them on before making the cupcakes, and I was basically useless after they were on. But Adam did an amazing job.

Yeah I was dancing in the parking lot. Man I was Bootielicous. The funny thing was people from the ward who did not know me well kept asking me who I was dressed up as. I said black. One older woman couldn't believe I was actually black in real life. She is Hispanic and actually compared my skin color to hers and informed me she was darker. So even when I dress up as a black person nobody believes me. I blame it on my super white upbringing which I really am grateful for:) But serious what does it take for me to get some recognition?!

After we had eaten the whole top layer (the Brobee part) Grey decided to "dig" into Muno.

I love this one because Lucy was feeding as much of the fondant to Hayden as Hayden could eat...hee hee hee:) Sorry Nicole.

Post Pinata knock down

This pinata cracked me up, the front was the Gabba radio on the back a pic of Muno were Muno is saying "Kids brush your teeth after eating candy". Dentist Daddy was so proud.

Playing Catch Up:

Petting Zoo at the Arboretum with the Caden and Brynlee George. Grey LOVED the goats but was super afraid of the rabbits and sheep. Weird.

After trick-or-treating

First thing Sunday morning....the kids had to see and try some of the loot first thing Sunday morning when the woke up. Yes I let my kids have a piece of candy BEFORE breakfast. I rock!
