I am so crazy BUSY!!!!!

Friends...

Recently I made a trip back to Dallas. I have such amazing friends there. I miss them all so dang much!!! I wasn't there for the happiest of reasons but they were they were there for me, to support me and of course EAT with me:) We went to Kat and my FAV place Chuy's on Friday night. Nicole got the funniest pics of some of us putting on our gloss (we ALL did it just a few didn't get their pic take). I of course had to do it black girl style-uuuuu huuuu.

Moab 2010!

Adam and I hadn't been to Moab since before we moved to Maryland (like a million years ago!). We were both so excited to take the kids to see one of our most favorite places on Earth!

Lucy Lou...

...came downstairs wearing Grey's shirt and pants along with a yo-yo necklace and her hair's version of a fro. Another I don't know moment. Then she wanted me to take pics like it was a modeling shoot. Again I don't know. But I do know I LOVE that girl and all her crazy quirks!!!!

Today

This was my day, well the highlights. Last night both of the kids decided they were sleeping with me-ugh! But look how cute! (although there is NO room in my bed for me) (oh and do you see the drool that is NOT mine on my pillow-ewwww)
Then Lucy had her 2nd first day of Ballet. The 1st first day was Tuesday but the class was too easy. So Lu and her buddy CharLee tried the Thursday class. So far so good:) Finally coming home from my philosophy class to find my kids bathed and ready for bed. My dad got them ready (so so sweet) as you can tell by Grey's pj bottoms pulled WAY up just the way my old man dad likes his. LOVE IT!!

And Finally: Grey's Room!

It has take me years (3 to be exact) to collect all of the coolest bicycle decor out there. Not super easy to find. I had to be creative and custom make the road signs along with the vinyl bike on acrylic with the stand offs. It will be Grey's headboard once I put him into a big boy bed. The thing is is that he hasn't figured out he can climb out of the crib so its perfect for time outs. I'm okay if he never figures it out. He can be 12 and still in his crib!!!

Totally sucks being sick. Totally sucks more when I am sick and have to miss Lucy's first day of Ballet. Ugh But one huge blessing?! My mom was able to take her. It's like a dream come true. I think of all the times I spent lying down so so sick unable to move and wanting my mom while living in MD, NY, and TX. Now I have her and its AMAZING. Now if she could only go to night class for me....

My New Addition....to my room

Can you read it?? It says RIDE! LOVE it. I decided to use my window as a shelf instead of putting up curtains. (Limited room space). Its my fav spot because I also have books up and each book means something well someone. Mo, Ruth, Kari, and Darcie.....I love looking there and thinking of these wonderful women in my life.

Lucy just told me she had a really good day and made two friends in her class. Today was a really really good day.

Second Grade!

This year was different for me. Surprisingly I didn't cry (although the second day I did). Lucy has had to start a new school every year since kindergarten. And it has been rough-for both of us. But she loves her teacher, Mrs. Lawrence. She is starting to like it. Facing the second week I have hopes for a great week!

PlayRoom and Study Nook

This room was WAY important to me. I had to make it inviting so the kids would play here instead of dragging toys all over the house. Funny thing is Grandma's bedroom is still their fav but I tried! It is also where I will be doing all of my studying. So I needed a desk but it had to go with the rest of the room. I love my little corner!!! Which really is important when I will be spending so much of my time for the next two years here.



PS Grey LOVES going around the house now in just his "underpants" since potty training this week. I think its adorable.
