Soccer Season Fall 2009

Love this because both feet are in the air.



I decided that to help Lucy get to know other girls I would sign her up for the school soccer team. It would have been great if most practices and games hadn't been rained out. But she has had maybe 2 games in 2 months. Last Saturday she had one and had so much fun. She always gets nervous because they have played so little but we have still seen her improve in confidence and not shying away from the ball so much. Man she's a cute girl.

Where'd Our Car Go?

Seriously where is it? If you see a 2000 Green Honda Civic with NY license plates and a bike rack, please return it to us. We miss our car.

AAAAHHH YEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Umm hmmm thats right I gots me a new ride and it da bomb y'all. I had put over 1000 miles on my other road bike so it was time for an upgrade. Seriously my new bike is such a nice ride. Smooth, light, everything a woman could ever want.

*Note: I had bought the jacket this summer in McCall, ID, and did NOT buy the bike to match it. Did not realize how they matched so well until I saw the pics-PROMISE.

*Just another note: I am SO pretty first thing in the morning. I should ALWAYS have pics taken of myself right after I wake up.

Fall at the Arboretum

Last night was the YMCA's family night at the Arboretum, which meant free admission for us and a chance to try to get some cute pics of the kids in their Halloween costumes. This year Lucy decided to the Princess Tiana who is from Disney's new movie "The Princess and The Frog". I was all for it because it is the first time Disney has made a black princess-way to go Disney! So that meant Grey had to be the frog. Which he LOVES by the way. He is so excited about his costume that he even leaves the hood on which is major because we have NEVER been able to get him to wear a hat.

Greyson Ross' 2nd Birthday!

It was a Gabba-tastic party. We were able to have the party on his actual bday, starting at 4pm so big sis could for sure be there. We had an AWESOME bounce house (thanks for all who prayed for no rain-we made it) and lots 'o' good buddies to share this special day. More pics to follow (Amanda). Oh and the cake....yeah Kristin and I made it. That's right we rock!

Wish 100

Umm hmmm thats right! I did my second organized ride of the season....I'm hoping to fit in one more if my health will only hold out a little longer:) I did the Wish 100 which is 60 miles last saturday with my two friends Kristin and Ruth. We had sooo much fun and for me was the longest ride I have done. It was such an awesome accomplishment for me-not only was I able to finish but I was even smiling at the end, despite the SUCKY "mountain" we had to climb right at the end. I was even able during the middle 20 miles to catch up to and keep up with a men's team. I have to admit it helped being able to draft off of them especially "Big Dog" who was the biggest black bike racer I have ever seen. I am up to almost 1000 miles on my road bike that I purchased the beginning of June. Looks like I am about ready for a new road bike!

Kristin. She is why I got back into cycling even when I really didn't think I could do it again.

Ruth. This was her longest ride as well. As soon as she crossed the finish said now we are ready for 100 miles. We will see Ruth:)
