EGGS!!!!!!

Okay what is the deal? Why can't I make scrambled eggs? Or any eggs for that matter? Really I only care about the scrambled kind. Above is the finished product and my kids trying to NOT eat them. Adam is the egg maker in our house. He was late last night for some meeting or something. So I decided to make breakfast for dinner. I made YUMMY oatmeal waffles which Grey and I love-he seriously ate a whole one and they are hearty. But Lucy doesn't like them and wanted eggs. It had been about two years since my last attempts had failed and I really thought I can do this! Its hard to tell from the pic above cause its all blurry/shinny (used my phone so don't ask why) but they really looked okay at first, but then they started looking weird. Best word I can think of. So I am begging for all y'all's help. My mom and Adam have both tried to help me but failure is the only word to describe all of my scrambled attempts. Please, please send any and all tips my way.

Forgotten Pics

BACKPACK!!!

Love Lucy's face in this one.

Reading a Happy Bday card from Aunt D. He laughed and laughed at the panda on it.

These should have been added to previous posts-Apple Celebration & It's Been Awhile but weren't. I loved them and wanted to make sure they made it to my blog journal but thought I should make their own post to MAKE SURE y'all see them. I just love them and yes I say y'all now not even thinking about it just like I said "eh" when living in NY right by the Canadian border. It just happens.

Oh My Gosh Angie!

I think most of you have either met my sister, Angie, or have at least heard all about her. Well I got a call this morning from her telling me to go and read the email she had just sent me. So I did. It was insane so I had to share it with y'all.
A little background info: Kelly is her husband, JJ is my nephew that is 16 and a junior in high school (still cant believe my little JJ is that big). The only justification Angie has is that the car is a hybrid-which really isn't a justification at all. But I do love the help to the environment and at least it wasn't her diesel guzzling truck.
Here is the email:

Hi friends I just wanted you to get a good laugh at our marriage and hopefully this will brighten your day.
Dear Kelly,
I just wanted to write you a note to talk about the "problem" of me accidentally leaving the car running in the driveway all night. First of all, I think it's really interesting that you always seem to make such a big deal of everything. Why do you always have to be so negative??? It seems like lately I can never please you. Just because I make a few little costly mistakes every once in awhile you seem to get so upset. Look, I said that I was sorry for putting a hundred dollars of unleaded in our diesel truck last month. Now this.....why don't you ever look on the bright side? For example- The car is fine today. No one stole the car. No one is hurt. Did you forget that I helped you clean the car yesterday???? Who went and filled up the car with the CORRECT gas two days ago??????? ME. Did I get any kind of thanks for that, nope.
Another thing I want to mention is it really wasn't all my fault. Why didn't you go outside and check the car before you went to bed?? A lot of husbands do that you know, to protect their family. When was the last time you tried to protect the family? What about the neighbors?? Why didn't they call us and tell us it was still running? I thought we lived in a great neighborhood, I guess I was wrong.
Oh yea, let's not forget about JJ. Correct me if I am wrong, didn't JJ come home last night at midnight? Why didn't he check the car? I think we need to maybe ground him because he's not paying close attention to things that are going on. What do you think???
Next time you get mad at me for something so trivial I want you to sit back and take everything into consideration. You might just realize how grateful you are for me. When was the last time you were bored in our marriage?? Sometimes when everything goes great and there are no mistakes life is really dull. Before you married me you told me that I make life interesting. Well what about now???? Once again, I can't please you. I guess I will try to be boring and not make anymore mistakes. I will try to put the correct gas in the car and most of all try to remember to turn the car off.
Ang

What can I say, that's my sista!!!

Apple Celebration

Lucy's class had an Apple Celebration to show parents all that they have learned. It was cute because they sang for us showing us how they are learning to spell and read (which is old news, Lucy's been doing it for awhile now). How they are learning to do math (which Mrs Hansen did in such a cute way but not wanting to go into detail cause it wouldn't be so cute to read) and science including an apple experiment (not quite sure what it was). And of course art. We made a snack using apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows (see below).
Not from today, from Central Market our fav grocery store. Lucy really wanted to poise in front of the apple and I finally found a post to put it in.
Working (coloring) hard

Craft/snack time-yuck. (In case you can't tell this is a mouth with with marshmallow teeth held together with peanut butter)
Lucy being Daddy

PS All of our dental friends like the t-shirt? Lucy's school has college day where the kids can wear a college t-shirt instead of uniform. Daddy loves it.

It Has Been Awhile

Grey's First Bday is coming up and I am so sad. So I had to do a post just dedicated to my baby boy who, by the way, is never growing up, going on a mission, or getting married! He will be Mommy's boy forever.
Pic that was on Adam's phone and I just found it.
What I find DAILY and yes I know we should put locks on the cabinets which I bought but Adam has yet to put on.
Grey and his backpack. Adam saw it at REI and had to have it. We can hardly wait till he is big enough to actually use it on his first hike (meaning his is walking).
Grey's first picnic. He LOVED all the food and was great about staying on the blanket. Why? Because the grass here is not soft, not soft at all.
Grey and Zoe. Adam and I had taken them shopping at the mall and totally wore them out!
