More Christmas

It actually snowed! (Yes, the count this as a snow storm)

Cookie Making with friend, Sara. (Ate TONS of sprinkles and some dough, but no cookies)

Gingerbread House Making at school. I volunteered to help even though I HATE making gingerbread houses-I am such a good mom.

Winter Celebration at school. They don't actually celebrate holidays at Lucy's school because of a wide variety of religious beliefs. Kind of sucks but cool that Lucy gets to learn about so many other cultures. (the other girl is Lucy's BESTest friend Ashlee)

Six Flags pics that I forgot I had. Lucy and Malia on the Ferris Wheel.

Park Day

Why I love Dallas in Winter.

Lucy and her American Girl doll-which has also been on the plane and every where else we allow.

Oh Yeah, Some More From Utah!

My parent's Christmas tree after one day of Grey

This is what I found about an hour before we, as in just me with the two kids (stresssss), were supposed to fly back to the big D. My dad could not see the problem with taking my clean daughter who was dressed and ready to go and putting her in a trash can and dumping piles of leaves on her. And yes of course I bathed her (more stresssss) before we left. Great memory for Lucy though.

These Mamas Love Obama!

John, Caden, and Lucy

Today was a big day for our country. Lucy didn't have school so she could stay home and watch the inauguration. It was pretty amazing how much Lucy has been learning about the presidential campaign etc at school. Ive been really impressed. Lucy was so excited to see Barrack (as she calls him) sworn into office. Side note: She also learned quite a bit about MLK Jr., in fact we went to breakfast at the donut shop to celebrate his bday. Today we went to my friend Kristin's to celebrate this monumental day with a cake and everything!!! I hope Lucy remembers this special day and what it means for our ancestors.

Little Lucy Lu Lu

We took a little trip over the Christmas vacation to Temple, TX to visit some friends. Lucy had a great time and played hard. She fell asleep on the ride home which is so so rare and we just couldn't believe the positions she was able to sleep in!

Temple Pictures

We just got back the proofs for our photo session that we had at the Bountiful Temple when Grey was sealed to us. Click here if you would like to see just a few:
http://blog.allisoncphotography.com/
Considering we had had the craziest 24 hours just before I think we look pretty good:) I almost didn't have the photographer come to the temple, but so glad I did. I only have one picture with my family and me when I was sealed which I love, but just glad to have so many to look at and help us remember the day.

PS I'm going to try to find my pic and post it-I know it is in a storage box in a closet. But which box and which closet is the really tricky part.

Wii Did It!!!

For those of you who don't know we are not a technological savvy family, but Adam and I have been dying for a Wii for over a year now. Not sure why, maybe because growing up my parents would NEVER let me have a Nintendo or Game Boy. I dreamed of both for years but to no avail. And what really stinks is that my older sisters got an Atari when they were young. But they thought I would waste my time and mind on one-so instead I spent numberless hours watching great TV.

Okay back to the present and no more venting. So we have basically been waiting for Lucy to want one. Why? Because we really didn't think we would spend a lot of time actually playing it but wanted to when we had the chance. So last week we went to a friend's house in Temple, TX and they like every other American family had one. Lucy fell in love. So Adam made a deal, if she payed for half he would pay for the other half. Well she had money from bday, Christmas, and the tooth fairy saved up $147 to be exact. So this weekend we joined the millions of you and bought our very own Wii.
So Adam rushed home from church (explains suit and tie) to play. He thinks he has mad skills and his form is amazing (hes bowling in case you cant tell). I found it so so funny had to take pics. Which he actually wanted me to take and post. If only we were all as proud of ourselves as Adam.
