What a Boy

I left Grey with Lucy, who was eating Cheerios, for just a minute and this is what I came back to. All Lucy said was, "Grey made a big mess". Of course she didn't think to stop him. I told my mother-in-law that this was my first "mom of a trouble maker boy" moment. As I was trying to clean up the mess, Grey was trying to shove as many Cheerios in his mouth as he could before I threw them all away. I thought it was so funny I had to photo it-I love that boy!

BCG's

Adam got some new Army issued glasses and we all couldn't wait to try them on! Please vote and let us know who looks the best in BCGs. ( If you don't know what that means and would like to please let me know.)

It's a Beautiful Day!

The adoption is final and Greyson is now officially Greyson Ross Bushell!!!!! Everything went so smoothly. We got there pretty early because Adam wanted to make sure we weren't late (as in WAY early!). Both kids were great during court, I think Lucy was a little nervous in front of the judge. But it was quick and painless and the judge was super nice. When we took photos with him after, Grey just loved him and as you can see in the pic with the judge wanted to hold his hand! It was just an awesome experience.

Mom & Dad (taken by Lucy)
The finalization took place at 9am so we decided to celebrate with breakfast. I should apologize to anyone I woke up calling to say it was done and over (we are ahead 2 hours of Utah), I just couldn't wait to share the good news. Grey loved the oranges and Lucy and I enjoyed our hot cocoas topped with tons of whipped cream yum!
We finished the morning with Pop Rocks which we all enjoyed (if you look really close you can see that she has Pop Rocks all over her mouth). It has been just a joyous day and I feel more than blessed to have Grey in our family. I was commenting on what an amazing experience it was to Adam and he said, "I have always felt like he was ours today didn't make a difference." Which really is true. Its just nice for everyone else to know hes our too.

Military Zoo Day

Kids and Lynx which of course you can't see.

Andy just couldn't resist getting in the pic!

Bald Eagle and best buds.

Anthony, Lisa, Andy, Lucy, Kameron

Eagles Nest

Watertown has a small zoo with local animals and today was free admission for all military. So of course Lisa (neighbor) and I took advantage. I have to say Grey loved it and did awesome. He can be a little difficult at times, but really loved being in his stroller and having the other kids walking around him. Lucy had a great time with her buddy Andy.

Fun Phots

Adam was going through his army gear while Grey was watching from the Jumperoo. Grey continued to whine until I put him right in the middle of the soldier stuff. What a boy!

Yep, we love Barney. It only holds his attention for a minute but I will take any minute I can get.

First time I made my sister cry :)

Lucy decided it was facial day for she and Adam. Lucy mixed up a "potion" which Adam still clams had so much stuff in it he is surprised it didn't burn his skin off. What a good sport Daddy is!

Happy Mother's Day

My Mother's Day weekend started by dropping Adam off at the airport. He headed off to Dallas to look at apartments and make sure that the apartment we had chosen was okay. I was nervous about moving to a "scary" part of Dallas. Which is funny because after having my next door neighbor in MD being murdered you would think I could handle anything! Anyways after dropping daddy off, the kids and I went to breakfast to fuel up for our day of shopping. I had fun buying myself many mday gifts ie. perfume (haven't had any in years) and clothes (of course). Lucy's reward for being good was a few turns on the merry-go-round in the Syracuse mall.

I spent Saturday with my neighbor Lisa White. We played outside all day then took the kids out for pizza (5 total and the only crazy loud one was Grey). Daddy was missed so much on Sunday but we made it to church just a little late.

Sunday afternoon we spent had dinner with some of my girlfriends whose husbands are deployed, gone for training, or in TX looking for my new home. We had a blast enjoying a yummy dinner we all helped out with and sitting around chatting, eating way too much cheese cake.

Ladies: Renae Murray, Donna Policarpo, Tamara Blackwell, me, Maggie!
Kids: back row-Landon, Logan, Riley, McKenna
front row-Larsen, Lauren, Lucy & Grey, Satori, Aires, Nadya, Jakob

My Mday didn't end there. I met Donna P. at the mall on Monday to shop a little more (again for clothes!) and eat a late dinner together while the 3 girls went crazy in Panera. It was hectic but when is shopping not fun! We picked up daddy late Monday night and I would have to say it was the highlight to a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.

COURT DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that our attorney called and we have a court date, May 21st, to finalize Grey's adoption! Such a HUGE weight has been lifted knowing that everything will be finalized before we move to Dallas. Thanks to everyone for your prayers.

Also, Grey had his 6 month check up yesterday. He is 19lbs and 27 inches. Grey is healthy and happy, but has yet to master sitting up. He has finally eating veggies, but not exactly loving them. Still not sleeping through the night which is driving us nuts. We know to let him cry it out but thats hard when his room shares a wall with a little boy who Grey is already waking up a few times a week. What to do???
