Poor Grey

Last Monday was the ultimate crazy Mom day. I drove to work (first time since feet surgery) but my dad did follow me so he could drive me to my classes (campus is BIG and difficult to navigate when you have two broken feet). We made it back to work and I was so excited to put my full day in. I still had to drive myself back to my night class but I was doing ok-had this under control. Then my dad called to say Grey needed stitches. "Rushed" (driving in a snow storm isn't really rushing) to InstaCare just in time for loves and kisses. He was shaking with shock and was really scared about getting a shot (which he didn't get). They actually just glued and all was better. My dad then had to drive me BACK to school (surgical shoes don't navigate well in the snow) and I was only 50 mins late for class. Phew! We drove home around 9 eating Crown Burger hamburgers for dinner. Best ending to a chaotic day.

This was taken the following day. Grey was FINE but knew I was taking the pic for Daddy so he had to look all sad and pathetic so Adam would call and give him lots and lots of sympathy. Grey knows he has his dad wrapped around his fat finger :)

Would You Rather....

Lucy and me vs Jim and Dianne. We played this game last Sunday and Lucy and I chose the challenge my dad had to take. I LOVED seeing goof written in lipstick on my dad's head and Lucy enjoyed writing it even more. Again my dad is better than your dad! The things he puts up with and does for the kids and me is pretty incredible.

Space Traveler of the Week

This year Lucy's class is doing Space Traveler of the Week ie Student of the Week. Well instead of making a poster with photos of herself, which is what was suggested, Lucy wanted something a little more elaborate (no idea where she gets it from). So we made a solar system with info about her on each planet. And planet suckers for her to hand out to her classmates. I may have failed a test because I was making this instead of studying......

Trouble!

But the good kind this time. Grey is finally holding still long enough to read books to and play games with. He doesn't always grasp all of the rules-or is pretending not to so he can beat me-either way I love playing with this boy.

Boy Besties

aka Grey Grey and Jakie awwwww:)

Twister.....

Is brought out once a week, but is NEVER EVER played!!!! Why children do we need to make this mess when you never ever ever even use the mat???????

Lucy's 9th Birthday

This year was an "At Home" party which consisted of: tattoos, painting nails, decorating cupcakes, beaded bracelets, popping popcorn, playing games, coloring cupcakes, cupcake favors, and the BIGGEST cupcake pinata EVER (although in the chaos I didn't even get one pic of). It was a cupcake themed party, obviously, which is why she got a cupcake pillow for all of her friends to sign, cupcake slippers, cupcake pj's, and cupcake robe. No. More. Cupcakes. That night she, like Grey, got to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner (not sure why they love it sooooo very much) and enjoyed being yeehawed at much more than Grey. And as her final Birthday celebration Grey and I brought her lunch to school and sat with her at the birthday table. But more importantly her bestie Ruby had lunch with us. Super fun weekend, super big girl.

Love this next pic-Grey totally snuck in around the table to color. And somehow Lucy didn't notice or didn't care for once. He wanted to be a part of the party too duh!
